An exemplary “Proverbs 31” woman, Tina has excelled in all areas of her life—academic, family, professional, and spiritual. She graduated magna cum laude from Forest Brook High School (1979). She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, graduating with honors from Prairie View A & M. Tina earned a Master of Education in Mid-management graduating with a 4.0 GPA from Stephen F. Austin State University. After 35 years of employment as an Algebra teacher, Math Coach and Instructional Specialist, she retired from Aldine Independent School District to fully pursue the call of God on her life as it pertains to ministry.

She and her husband have set a dual standard of academic and spiritual excellence for their four children. Together they stood on the scripture, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he grows old he will not depart.” Along with serving in various capacities in ministry, her children have excelled academically and have obtained undergraduate and advanced degrees from various institutions.

Birthed out of a hunger for prayer, Tina and her biological sister have facilitated a prayer-line ministry since 1999. Under the Leadership of Bishop Roy Lee Kossie Jr., of Latter Day Deliverance Revival Church, she taught Sunday school for many years. In 2007 she and her husband also were appointed as leaders over the “Keepers of the Flame Marriage Ministry.” She was ordained as Pastor of By His Stripes Family Outreach Ministries in 2014 where she now serves alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Thomas A. Land.

By His Stripes Family Outreach Ministries was founded in 2015 by Pastors Thomas and Tina Land. Pastors Thomas and Tina had received several prophecies through the years, by trusted leaders, stating that they would pastor one day.

After faithfully serving under Bishop Roy Lee Kossie of Latter Day Deliverance Revival church for 30 years, Pastor Thomas felt the pull from the Holy Spirit and knew it was time to step out and launch By His Stripes Family Outreach Ministries.

The ministry officially launched on June 5, 2015 in the home of Pastors Thomas and Tina, with about 15 other believers. The ministry gathered for weekly services at their home and less than a year later transitioned to meeting every Sunday at the Ramada Houston.

To emulate the characteristics of Christ and value the presence of God.

To empower, equip and encourage families to stand on the Word of God and share the love of Christ.

1. THE BIBLE is the infallible and authoritative Word of god, without error, given for the purpose of directing man to salvation.

2. THE FATHER is the Creator of heaven and earth and the sustainer of all things. There is but one God, infinite, eternal, and perfect in holiness, truth, and love.

3. THE TRINITY consists of the Father, the Son – Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit. They are co-existent, co-eternal, and co-equal.

4. THE SON – Jesus was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and was without sin. He was the vicarious sacrifice for the sing of all mankind through His death on the cross. He arose from the dead in His own glorified body, appeared to many, ascended into Heaven, and will return to earth in power and glory. He is now the Head of His Body, the Church.

5. THE HOLY SPIRIT convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, unites man to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about the new birth, and dwells within the believer enabling him to grow in sanctification and righteousness, and become a gift of God to the Church.

6. THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ, and who will totally surrender their lives to the complete, perfect will of God.

7. THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT word of knowledge and/or wisdom, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, speaking in tongues and the interpretation of tongues, are available through the Holy Ghost, and are for the Church today.

MAN was created in the image and likeness of God. Through the original sin
of Adam and Eve, mankind has fallen from God and has become sinful nature. Man is totally incapable of returning to God in himself and is lost without hope, apart from he salvation of Jesus Christ.

SALVATION is the gift of God through the grace and faith of Jesus Christ. There is no other name except that of Jesus Christ by which men may be save. By turning from sin to repentance, and trusting in Christ and His vicarious death, man is born again unto eternal life by the Holy Spirit.

THE CHURCH is the body and the bride of Christ, whose task it is to take the Gospel to all men in all nations, and to make disciples of them. The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the spirit, is an integral part of the church, which is written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22, Ephesians 1:23, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 12:23).

THE ORDINANCE OF BAPTISM by a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the scriptures by all who have repented and believed in Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Christ as in inner cleansing. They declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Acts 48, Romans 6:4, Acts 20:21, Hebrews 10:22)

THE LORD’S SUPPER consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4), a memorial of His suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26), a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26), and is enjoined on all believers until He comes.

A LIFE OF HOLINESS without which no man shall see the Lord. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command. “Be holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Holy Spirit. Sanctification is experienced in basically three ways:

DIVINE HEALING Deliverance from sickness is provided for us in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4, Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:17).

HEAVEN is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the Gospel if Jesus Chris (Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, John 17:24, Hebrews 11:16

HELL + THE LAKE OF FIRE After living on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to hell where they will be eternally tormented (Matthew 25:41, Hebrews 9:27 The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whoever not found written in the Book of Life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake, which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20, Revelation 20:10-15).

SECOND COMING Jesus Chris will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures ( Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64, Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 1:7).
